The continued increase in air traffic in Europe will lead to an ever growing gap between airport capacity and demand from airlines and other aircraft operators - the so-called CAPACITY CRUNCH!

No easy solutions are available so making optimal use of existing airport capacity is of paramount importance. Combined with other measures the schedule coordination process is one of the most efficient means to deal with this imbalance between capacity and demand.
